Today I am sharing the recipe of dog biscuits with you. Store bought biscuits are really expensive and sometimes disturb the dog’s appetite especially if you are living in hot and humid climate like mine. So I set simple recipe with basic kitchen ingredients for pets. I have used coconut as coconuts are considered as a good source of nutrients . It contains a large amount of magnesium which improves bone health and helps in better metabolism . Being sweet in nature your pet will going to love these amazing treats. So I highly recommend you this recipe .This is a perfect delight for any pet in summers.

Number of biscuits : 56

Ingredients :

1. Whole wheat flour (Atta) - 1and 1/2 C (195 gm)
2. Oats - 1/2 C ( 50 gm)
3. Extra virgin Coconut oil - 1/3 C + 1 tbsp (100 ml)
4. Milk - 1/3 C + 1 tbsp (100 ml)
5. Salt - 1/8 tsp
6. Dessicated coconut - 2 tbsp (15 gm)
7. Coarsely ground fennel seeds (saunf) - 1 tsp

Method :

1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
2. Add coconut oil in the dry mix. Knead it.
3. Gradually add half milk to combine all together.
4. Put the mixture in the refrigerator to chill for 20 minutes.
5. After 20 minutes, add the remaining milk in the mix and knead it to form dough.
6. Roll it evenly and cut in the desired shape or 2 inches diameter round cutter as shown in the video.
7. Place the biscuits on the baking tray.
8. Bake at 170 degrees for 10 minutes in a pre heated oven.
9. After 10 minutes, flip the biscuits and bake it for another 10 minutes.
10. Allow it to cool completely on the rack.
11. Store it in an air tight jar for 5-6 days at room temperature or 15-20 days in the refrigerator.

Note *

1 C - 240 ml

You can feed 1-2 biscuits for small dogs ; 3-4 biscuits for medium and 5-6 biscuits for large ones.
