When getting an iPad from a friend or purchasing it second-hand, there's chance that you get it locked up while Find My iPhone is on, you'll be able to regain access to it if you still remember the credentials, but when you don't, things get tricky. Fortunately, we've found an effective way to fix this, in this video we'll share the whole process with you guys.

Chapter 1: Restore iPad Using iTunes:
Launch iTunes and connect your iPad to the computer.
Put the iPad into Recovery Mode (for models with a home button: hold the top and home buttons until the connect to computer icon appears).
iTunes will detect the iPad and prompt for an update or restore. Choose "Restore" and confirm.
Agree to the terms and conditions, download the firmware, and complete the restore process.
After restoring, the iPad will show the Hello screen, and iTunes will prompt for the Apple ID, showing the Activation Lock.

Chapter 2: Bypass iCloud Activation Lock Using 4MeKey:
Set up the iPad after restoring, which will again prompt for the Apple ID due to the iCloud lock.
If two-step verification is enabled, you can unlock it with the passcode if remembered. If not, proceed with 4MeKey.
Install and launch 4MeKey on your computer. Attach the iPad and agree to the disclaimer.
4MeKey will download the jailbreak tool. Create a jailbreak drive using a USB thumb drive.
Reboot the computer, enter Boot Options (F12 key), and select the USB storage device to start the Checkra1n jailbreak wizard.
Put the iPad in Recovery Mode and then DFU mode, following on-screen instructions.
Jailbreak the iPad, restart the computer, and launch 4MeKey again to remove the iCloud Activation Lock.
After completion, the iCloud Activation Lock will be removed, allowing you to set up the iPad and skip the Apple ID sign-in option.
Confirm that the Apple account has been signed out in Settings.

6. This tool currently only supports iOS devices with A7 to A11 Bionic running iOS 12 to iOS 14.
7. Restarting, updating and restoring the device to factory resettings after the removal will bring the device back to the Activation Lock screen.
