two weeks ago Armin Hirmer has introduced a few Léda bows, including the ones with black & white colors. The price is incredible: 35€ plus shipping and so I wanted to test one.

The shape is beautiful, such as the tips and the color scheme. The drawing curve is special, since it builds up massively after 26” draw length.
At max draw of 32” the bow reaches 54lbs!

There is no recommended arrow weight from the bowyer, so I use the Bamboo Archery table as an orientation. A matching arrow weight would be around 9gpp (8,8gpp).

The handle is too thin for me, so I have added 5mm EVA foam on back and on belly, wrapped it with fabric adhesive tape and covered it with soft lamb leather. This works fantastically!

Furthermore, I have added rayskin to secure the arrow pass area from scratches.

The bow performs nicely and the sound is very pleasant! The speed is ok (154fps/ 28” draw for 9gpp arrows).

Furthermore, I have ordered Leather thumb rings from László Mudra mid of June in 3 sizes (20€ each + shipping). The rings have arrived 13th July and I use the largest one in this video. ☺️
I needed to widen the ring, which is only possible with leather!

Shooting with this ring is very similar to using the Bamboo Archery rings: it’s a Shallow ring and you shouldn’t curl your thumb.
I love that!
The leather feels very nice and the ring doesn’t slide so that I didn’t need to adjust the position each round- great!
I have ordered already another size for warm days when my thumb is thicker 😅.
