A Day At A Railway Junction... An Indian Railways Documentary:

Indian Railways is the second biggest railway network in the world. Most of its stations address hundreds of trains every day, especially the junction stations which handle trains from multiple sources. A station administration not only has to take care of train movement, but also has to provide various services to the passengers and maintain their safety. It is truly a huge process which involves many departments and their systematic co-operations to make all ends meet. If one part of it fails whole system will suffer resulting in delay or more severe consequences.
This visit to Indian Railways’ one such busy junction station (Kharagpur Junction) primarily sheds light on a station administration’s crucial routine works in the sector of train operations, signaling, maintenance, security, passenger health and on the amenities provided to the passengers to make journeys faster, cosier and safer.

* This documentary is planned, filmed, directed and edited all by myself without any prior knowledge, training or experience. This is my very first experiment with film making. I am grateful to my department for giving me this opportunity. The whole project was done (planning, filming & editing) under 15 days **
