UN arms experts carried out a second day of inspections of Iraqi
weapons sites on Sunday (23/11), even as the United States
rejected Russian calls to speed up moves to lift sanctions.
Iraq's arms monitoring directorate said the latest inspections
covered 10 sites and had been carried out without incident.
General Hussam Mohammad Amin, head of the directorate, pledged
full cooperation with the Special Commission in order to help it
complete its mission.
Meanwhile, Iraq's Union of Students demonstrated in front of
the Ministry of Education.

Department (in English): "They contacted their officials. Iraq
was cooperating with them fully. They were investigating the
equipment and machinery and they were sure no undeclared
activity were going on on our sites. The location of the
American media and officials that were examining the movement of
equipment were sure 100 per cent that Iraq was credible that
when it declared that the movement removal of equipment (from
monitored sites to original sites) was to protect it against
American attack against industrial infrastructure. We hope that
this professional work will go on and the special commission
will conduct its activites using professional scientific and
objective measures measures.
