It Rained All Day in the Grand Canyon - Solo Hiking Rim to Rim

Описание к видео It Rained All Day in the Grand Canyon - Solo Hiking Rim to Rim

The Grand Canyon Rim to Rim is about 24 miles one way. Permits to camp can be hard to get, but I was able to get a walk-up permit to camp at Bright Angel Campground. I would suggest doing this if you have some flexibility on your trip and you prefer to camp overnight. Most people I saw were day hiking or trail running. But I think camping at the bottom is the best and safest way to enjoy the Canyon. The 6000 feet of decent and 5000 of gain can be strenuous for anybody attempting to hike this is one day. Not to mention the extreme heat that can reach over 100 degrees at the bottom. I was lucky in some ways to have the rain, because I didn't experience the intense heat. I hiked this is trail around September 23.

This was a last minute bucket list trip for me. The video quality is not great, but oh well. with the last minute packing, I forgot my tripod, microphone and my SD card! I had to buy a small 16GB card at the north rim store so I didn't have much space to use, nor could I shoot in 4K.

Overall, I enjoyed my time in the canyon. Maybe I'll go back one day and shoot a higher quality video :)
