Tennessee Pass - April '94.mpg

Описание к видео Tennessee Pass - April '94.mpg

A chance encounter, hence the less than desirable vantage point. Thirteen locomotives working all out to lift one coal train just had to be recorded... from wherever! (4 at the front - 5 mid train and another 4 close to the rear)
This was the only time I ever visited the location, I gather the now 'UP' owned Tennessee Pass trackage is either 'mothballed' or closed with trains using the more easily graded Moffat Tunnel route instead. The basics of the line were originally built by the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad in narrow gauge form the 1880s.
Many and varied well worn liveries can be seen on the thrashing EMD locos.
