Shakar Pare Recipe: Crunchy and Sweet Indian Snack

Ingredients:

2 cups flour
baking powder
ghee
1/2 cup lukewarm water
2 cup sugar syrup (see below for recipe)
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
Oil for frying

Sugar Syrup:

Instructions:

1. Make the sugar syrup by boiling the sugar and water until thickened.
2. Mix the flour, and baking powder.

4. Gradually add lukewarm water and knead into a smooth dough.
5. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
6. Divide into small balls and roll out into thin circles.
7. Fry until golden brown and crispy.
8. Soak in sugar syrup for a few seconds.
9. Sprinkle with cardamom powder and serve.
