Among all the trees, I am the Ashvattha.

The Peepal tree, or Ashvattha, is revered as a divine presence in Sanatana Dharma. The Skanda Purana says that Brahma resides in its roots, Shri Vishnu in the stem, and Shiv in its leaves. The Padma Purana mentions the Ashvattha destroys all sins. It is not only honoured in temples but also worshipped as a temple itself!

Worship of the Peepal tree is considered especially powerful on Tuesdays, Saturdays, Amavasya.

To worship it follow these steps 🪔

• Wake up before sunrise.
• Take a bath, and offer water at the roots of the tree.
• Light a sesame oil lamp under it.
• Perform Pradakshina of the tree 7, 11, or 21 times.
• While doing so, tie red or yellow threads around its trunk.
• Chant “ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय |
Aum Namo Bhagavate Vāsudevāya”
• Sit near the tree for sometime and practice deep breathing.

Pray silently with a clear intention. This practice, mentioned in various Puranas, helps reduce Karmic weight, brings balance in life, and invokes divine grace.
