Technical Information
YouTube does not currently support the Dolby Vision® format. When I create HDR videos with Dolby Vision metadata (Profile 8.4), YouTube automatically converts them to HDR10 or HLG during processing. This is the HDR standard you see when watching on YouTube. But the video remains fully compatible with HDR displays, including those supporting Dolby Vision®.
