Maggie (Crissy Rock) has had four children (by four different fathers) removed by Social Services because of a previous violent relationship. When she meets Jorge (Vladimir Vega), a gentle Latin American refugee, she gradually sees her chance of happiness, but her history still haunts her.

Directed by Ken Loach (Kes, Looking For Eric), written by Rona Munro (Oranges and Sunshine), and also starring Clare Perkins, Sandie Lavelle and Ray Winstone.

A Film4 Production, released in the UK on 30th September 1994.
