Dr. Carolyn Dean with the famous Dr. William Crook author of The Yeast Connection. The Topic: Candidiasis. The interview was by Harry Brown on "Speaking Out" TV Ontario. Many years later I co-authored Yeast Connection and Women's Health with Dr. Crook.
The station switchboard had 80,000 calls into the show that night, the most the show ever tabulated. I still have the letter congratulating me on that fact.
This is my first television appearance so I definitely have the "deer in the headlights" look. And I have a serious wardrobe malfunction with the microphone dragging down the left side of my silk dress. Note to self: silk will not hold a microphone properly. So, try not to be too distracted by the dress. And note the Inuit carving of a polar bear necklace that a patient who was teaching in the north sent to me.
