The last brackets are welded on and it's time to get the new motor into my EV-swapped BMW Z3. Well, almost. Work and COVID got in the way this week so I'm a bit behind plans. But nonetheless in this episode I get the final bits of welding (mostly) done and the mock-up car stripped down so that we can paint all the parts.

Next, I'll finally be pulling my Z3 (known as the 300 because it's going to get a Z300S body kit soon) off the road to make the swap, while I paint all the new parts and prep the engine. But before I do that, I need to set some benchmarks for speed. How fast (or slow) is an EV swap using the Mitsubishi Outlander front motor paired with a Prius inverter? Find out in the next episode.
