Sontronics STC 1 Pencil Mic - Another Cracker from Sontronics

I only discovered Sontronics recently and they make some really nice microphones that are very well priced. They offer tremendous value for money with mics that are well built and are voiced extremely well so that minimal post processing is needed.

The Solo, which is a dynamic mic, really bowled me over. Stunning sound with excellent rejection so I moved on to the Podcast Pro and found the same. The Podcast Pro is one of the few mics that resists the poor acoustics of my box room.

The STC-1 is another stunner Which really seems to do well boomed. I like the cardioid close up, but the hyper cardioid capsule comes into its own further back, which is great for videographers; allowing you to get the mic out of sight without compromising sound too much at all.
