A Prayer on Romans 1:13–17
Lord, we ask that you lead us to come to know this world of grace inside of Apostle Paul. Paul is so excited. He really wants to share this grace inside of him. How does he explain what this grace is? He talks about this world of love. This debt of love. This debt that he owes to everyone else. This debt of love. Lord we want to meditate on this debt of love. We too live our lives. The fact that I stand here and am alive shows that I owe a debt of love. Shows that I have been loved already. So much love poured down on my life. And the fact that I am spiritually alive shows that so much sacrifice has been poured out on me spiritually. So many times we forget and ignore this. We think I am who I am. I made myself, I am a self made man. That is a lie. It is false. It is not true. Paul says we should owe this debt of love. We should acknowledge all this love that has been poured out on our lives. This love that you, Lord, poured out on our lives. This love that you have shown through our parents to us. Through our church family to us. Through our brothers and sisters to us. This love is already given to us and all we need to do is accept it by faith. Lord, we pray in our lives we can be the ones who are filled with grace and filled with love by faith through faith to accept this grace of God as my own. May we be the ones who are filled with faith. Who believe whole heartily in this love. Be those who are completely changed and are saved by the grace of God, saved by the love of God revealed through Jesus Christ. May we be the ones who experience the same life changing experience of receiving the grace of God. Like Apostle Paul, may we become bold and not ashamed of the gospel at all. Help us experience the same transformation as Paul did and even more. Please help us. We thank you, we pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
