Deep Creek Hot Springs is a cool place to go relax after a tough hike. It’s located in the San Bernardino National Forest near Hesperia or behind arrowhead. We took the trailhead from behind Arrowhead and it had a very long step decline with slippery granite sand, very trying and difficult trailhead. We recommend the other trails …one is Bowen Ranch / Freedom Trail which is 4 miles in and out or the Bradford Ridge path which is 5.2 miles total.

We hiked the Arrowhead side, do not recommend it. Take the easier trails. Our hike is listed below from All-Trails.

Swimming warning: There is a bacteria in the water that can cause issues, keep your eyes and head out of the water to be safe. It’s rare for people to contract it but good to be safe.
I jumped In before reading all the warnings! I’m fine, nothing happened to me, but giving a heads up.

This trailhead above has a very steep slippery (granite crumbs) downhill approach for about a 1/2 mile. Our opinion is to try other trailheads.
