As I have documented on this channel previously, I was a Scout Leader at 2nd Frankston Scout Group, which became 1st South Frankston Scout Group.

2nd Frankston and 6th Frankston Scout Groups had two sections that met together. Tangenong Venturer Unit and Strathavon Rover Crew. The Rover Crew was bamed after the property on which they built a hut, which was located on Ten Mile Creek, Tarwin Lower, Victoria, Australia.

The hut existed for over twenty years thanks to the generosity of the land owners, brothers Ted and Ron Boag. Unforutnately a few years after their deaths the new owners requested the hut be demolished and removed.

Many, many people have fond memories of the Hut, and the land on which it was situated. I am definately one of those people. In May 2025, I took a drive down memory lane, to the front gate of the property. I then flew my drone over the site and down toward the beach.

I was surprised by how far the drone traveled. This video is for all those who ever visited the Hut and fell in love with the land on which it was situated.

I will forever remember Ted driving his old Land Cruiser along the fence line each morning looking for wombats who may have breached his containment lines. It was always a pleasure to chat with him and pat his dog Sailor. I too will remember many of the people I shared experiences with at the Hut.
