Ancient evidence such as the Kemetic tomb of Baqet III shows grappling and wrestling positions that mirror Afrikan combat traditions still practiced today.

Across the continent, wrestling has long been considered our martial art—focused on grounding, balance, and dominance. To Montu an opponent is to place them on their back, belly, or side.
