Udell T. Anderson hailed from Texas but tried his luck at the end of the sixties in England. He started off by joining the Gladiators
In 1970 he relocated to Holland to join the cast of 'Hair' in a stage version of the show based out of that country.
He still recorded whilst based in Holland......
He also had a 12" single released: "Girls Girls Girls" & then in 1977; "The Promise Of Love/Children's World" (CBS 5095)... followed by....
"Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover/My Life (CNR 144591) and in 1978 the LP 'This Is Magic' (CNR 651022).
Udell also appeared in Holland with Sue Challoner (Spooky and Sue) in 'Cats' (the musical stage show).
He also formed his own groups; Stone Delight and Udell's People (founded in 1975 in Amsterdam)
Later on (1992 to 94) Udell was the lead vocalist with Dutch soul / funk outfits City Lites & 3toB
Band members acknowledged that Udell was a great singer but unfortunately he passed away a couple of years later of a brain tumor.
...if anyone knows anything else about the guy, I'd be pleased to learn about it.
