In this easy to follow video I will show you how to replace the Battery on your VW T5 Transporter. My VW T5 Battery was 8 years old and was starting to struggle to turn the Van engine over so I didn't want to leave it any longer.
I bought an official VW Battery for my VW T5 Transporter, it was either that or a Bosch Battery.
You can just remove the old VW T5 Battery and replace with your brand new VW T5 Battery but you may lose settings such as on your Stereo and your Clock. So in this video I used a spare car battery to put onto the cables so that we had a permanent 12V even when removing the old VW Transporter Battery. As I mention in the Video you don't have to do this if you don't want to. An easier and safer alternative is to use a 12V Cigarette Lighter Jump Starter where you connect that between the Van and another vehicle via the 12V cigarette lighter.

How to remove and replace a Van Battery on a VW T5 is a fairly simple procedure. This should be a similar procedure for other battery models on Cars and Vans by VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat..

VW Lead Calcium Starter Battery VW-Norm 750 73 + TL 825 06.

My VW T5 Van is now so much better at starting and holding a charge.
Removing a VW Transporter T5 Battery and replacing it is a fairly easy task.
