About Virtue's Last Reward (VLR):

The story follows Sigma Klim (the eye on top at the end of the animation, the man in the cover art of the game), who is trapped in a facility with eight others. They are all forced to play a dangerous game called the Nonary Game: Ambidex Edition. They must escape rooms, work together and against each other, and avoid poison, all while trying to find out why they were abducted and who the mysterious figure known as "Zero" is.

The game is a mix of different genres like psychological horror, mystery, suspense, and sci-fi. It has some humor and comedy to make it less serious sometimes. Gameplay-wise, it's a mix of visual novel, escape-the-room, and puzzle games.

It's the sequel to the game Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and it precedes Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma. It’s the second entry of the Zero Escape series. The game was developed by Chunsoft, directed and written by Kotaro Uchikoshi.
