Bucharest can be listed among the major cities of the world recognized for their Art Deco heritage - in fact, Western publications and sites have already included Bucharest in the top Art Deco cities. Designer Dragoș Dogaru, creative director of B:MAD, Conf. Dr. Arh. Mihaela Criticos, scientific consultant, and Conf. Dr. Arh. Françoise Pamfil, project consultant, talk in the DIGICULT report about the grand scale of this heritage and the current status of valorizing its touristic potential.

Stage 2.0 of the B:MAD project aims touristic activation and the valorization of the impressive deco-modernist heritage in ​​the central boulevards area of Bucharest. In this sense, B:MAD launched, within the ART DECO & THE CENTRAL BULEVARDS Exhibition, which took place between 17th and 26th of May 2019 during Romanian Design Week, the first Art Deco virtual tour with Romanian and English audio-guide „Bucharest: Art Deco and the Central Boulevards”, available through the izi.TRAVEL mobile app.

B:MAD 2.0 invites the general public to explore an urban route that offers a new visiting experience on one of the most representative selections of Art Deco architecture in the city, a definite trait to the modern image of the Magheru, Bălcescu and Carol I boulevards, as well as of adjacent historical areas. RO » B:MAD – București Modernism Art Deco într-un reportaj DIGICULT despre patrimoniul modernist Art Deco din București, un patrimoniu bogat și un reper esențial pentru identitatea arhitecturală și culturală a orașului, amenințat însă de lipsa de recunoaștere din partea publicului și a autorităților.

Bucureștiul poate sta în rândul metropolelor lumii recunoscute pentru patrimoniul Art Deco – de altfel, publicațiile și site-urile occidentale l-au inclus deja în topul orașelor Art Deco. Designerul Dragoș Dogaru, director creativ B:MAD, Conf. Dr. Arh. Mihaela Criticos, consultant științific, și Conf. Dr. Arh. Françoise Pamfil, consultant de proiect, povestesc, în cadrul reportajului DIGICULT, despre amploarea acestui patrimoniu și despre stadiul actual de valorificare a potentialului său turistic.

Etapa 2.0 a proiectului B:MAD își propune activarea turistică și valorificarea impresionantului patrimoniu deco-modernist din zona bulevardelor centrale ale Bucureștiului. În acest sens, B:MAD a lansat, în cadrul Expoziției ART DECO & BULEVARDELE CENTRALE, care a avut loc între 17 – 26 mai 2019 în cadrul Romanian Design Week, primul traseu virtual Art Deco cu audioguide în limba română și engleză „București: Art Deco și Bulevardele Centrale”, disponibil prin aplicația de mobil izi.TRAVEL.

B:MAD 2.0 invită publicul larg la explorarea unui traseu urban ce oferă o nouă experiență de vizitare a uneia dintre cele mai reprezentative selecții de arhitectură Art Deco din Capitală, care contribuie la imaginea modernă a bulevardelor Magheru, Bălcescu și Carol I, cât și a zonelor istorice adiacente acestora.
