MOTOROLA XTS3000, XTS5000 INTERNAL FLEX REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION TUTORIAL

This switch-out was performed on an older housing. It had never been done with that particular housing. This took two takes. To cut time, I didn't include the brace for the speaker in the video. My camera battery is running really low and by the end of the video, it was nearly dead. The brace is just something that you know is under pressure. Always wear safety glasses when taking those braces off and watch that screw. Finger pressure on the brace takes care of the thing becoming a projectile. I learned that the hard way. It just slides into the obvious groove on the left top and the screw goes where it should.

This ISN'T easy, but it is easier every time you do it. You get a "feel" for the process and you have to have decent strength in your fingers and they have to be trained to do this right. Work on a housing you do not intend to reuse or resell. That way, if you make a mistake, it will not be the end of the world.
