This playList is aimed mainly at people who enjoyed the 2010 movie "Social Network", although the content is applicable to anyone in business.

This movie has fantastic lessons about Inventorship, product-usability, inventions, invention-utility, effective GUIs, having GUIs that offer value, & having products that offer value. There are many bright, intelligent inventors who for some odd reason think they can ignore this, and think people will just fall in love with their inventions.

A widely-misunderstood canard is that this movie "Social Network" took huge liberties with truth/accuracy. Not true! 2/3 of the movie is taken directly from Deposition Transcripts and testimony Under Oath in Federal Court, under penalty of Perjury.

This video discusses Mark's view of inventorship, which is reasonable and intelligent, but is mistaken and an oversimplification. The Winklevoss never claimed they invented Facebook, in its entirety. Instead, their lawsuit stipulated that Mark got several good ideas from the Winklevoss', Mark misled them for 42 days, and was able to refine his own potentially similar site and get it out and running.

Thus, Mark's blog quoted in the film is not fanciful Hollywood speculation, which is often falsely asserted. Mark's blog was re-surfaced and restored, for the purpose of litigation. Further, Eduardo's algorithm made a contribution to FaceMash, of which some principles were grafted into Facebook. However, this contribution would not rise to the level of Inventorship, but it is still significant.

The word "inventorship" and "invent" are not well-understood by the lay person, and Mark makes some mistakes in this short speech.

This movie is overly faithful to courtroom and deposition issues, to the point that it becomes quite Dull. My first impression of this film was that very few people would care about this movie, other than attorneys and aspiring attorneys. I was surprised to find out how wrong I was.

Nobody should watch this movie to learn about Facebook. They should watch this movie to learn about Starting a Business, taking it beyond a mere hobby-stage, & taking it to Actual Revenue.
