About this video- Whey protein is one of the most popular sports supplements in the market. People normally take whey protein post workout because it is fast digesting protein . However there is a fear that consuming protein with milk will slow down it's digestion .
Whey protein normally takes around 90 minutes to digest. However your body cannot digest more than 8 to 10 grams per hour rendering the excess protein as waste.
Now let us introduce milk in the equation.Milk is around 85 per cent to 90 percent water. Speaking about protein it is around 80 percent casein and 20 percent whey. So when whey is mixed with milk, the new drink will give the benefits of both whey and casein. This will ensure muscle protein synthesis for a greater time period then with a whey only drink.
However this drink will usually be higher in calories then a standard whey with water beverage.
