In a major anti-terror operation in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, three JAS terrorists were neutralised in a well-coordinated joint operation by the Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF. The operation took place yesterday and resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition from the encounter site. Among the recovered weapons are two AK-series rifles with magazines, and a charred rifle believed to have been used by terror commander Saifullah. Security forces also recovered armour-piercing bullets capable of penetrating bulletproof jackets, which were reportedly used by the terrorists in attacks on security forces and civilians over the past two years. The terrorists had been active in the region for more than two years. During the operation, an individual named Tyson was involved in the initial contact with the terrorists and is reported to be recovering well.
