The Little Sisters of the Poor were back at the Supreme Court this week via teleconference—Sister Constance Veit, LSP, joins us to discuss how the Sisters are caring for the elderly poor amid the coronavirus pandemic, and how the case affects their work.

The Little Sisters of the Poor are dedicated to the care of the elderly, those most vulnerable to COVID-19. Sr. Constance discusses the trials they've faced during the pandemic, and how Coronavirus has brought to the fore "the plight of the elderly in our society."

"These have been the toughest weeks I've ever lived through in my vocation. I've been a sister for over 30 years, but they've also been weeks that have made me feel, more than ever, the need for our vocation, the need for women to be dedicated to caring for the elderly."
