I had the incredible opportunity to fly a female peregrine falcon, bred by none other than Gernot Jost – a name known for producing truly outstanding birds. Of course, I couldn’t say no to this chance!

For the past few years, I had only flown tiercels (male peregrines), thinking they were more impressive in flight. But thanks to Gernot and other falconers I’ve met over the years, I’ve come to realize that female peregrines can be just as – or even more – impressive. It all comes down to proper training and giving them the right opportunities.

💪 So, we gladly took on the challenge!

With excitement (and a motorhome), we drove 15 hours to Austria to collect the young falcon at 55 days old. An unforgettable day – and hopefully the start of an amazing adventure.
