A new study published in Antimicrobials and Resistance Journal reveals that common painkillers like ibuprofen and paracetamol, when taken with antibiotics, may significantly increase the risk of antibacterial resistance. We spoke to Dr. P. Venkat Krishnan, Senior Consultant, Internal Medicine, Artemis Hospitals, to understand whether painkillers and antibiotics should be avoided together or just used with caution.
