Why this mix?
As a producer and DJ, music is literally the soundtrack of our lives. From DJing in clubs both in America and Europe to spinning vinyl house music sets at house parties, small venues, and for streaming audiences, it’s always the musical passion that captivates your audience. In this deep house set I have mixed some of the best deep house music producers and deep house artists of today that all share a common thread of having jazz based influences. Deep house is a natural progression for Jazz. It’s laid back beats and groovy sounds allow the artist to play around with epic drops, develop musical tension and communication with the call and response we know and love as jazz music. It also takes the classic 1920’s art form and delivers it to an eager new audience of music fans from around the world. Jazzy Deep House Music is a place I feel happy, groovy and content. Producing your own house music is a rewarding experience and one I am inspired to do when listening to selections of great deep house music like the ones in this mix.
