"The Fold, a seemingly utopian community, was founded on a secluded American island in the 1960s by anonymous philanthropists seeking a society free from negativity. Under the charismatic leadership of Otto Stamper, members practiced "joy-talk," meditation, and repetitive "good-thinking" mantras, while any expression of "dark thoughts" was ruthlessly suppressed. However, a sense of unease began to spread as members mysteriously disappeared. Otto attributed these disappearances to the summoning of a creature called the Druanee, blaming hidden "malcontents" within the Fold. He imposed increasingly draconian measures, including sleep deprivation, to prevent the spread of "dark dreams." The situation escalated dramatically when a journalist accused Otto of leading an ancient cult that practiced human sacrifice. In response, Otto publicly executed her by slitting her throat, inciting a frenzy of paranoia and violence within the community. Years of suppressed emotions erupted, and the once-peaceful members of the Fold turned on each other with brutal ferocity, tearing each other apart with their bare hands and teeth. Amidst this carnage, a horrifying transformation occurred. The ground opened, and a thick, oozing black mud emerged, from which a formless mass arose. This entity, the Druanee, began to feed on the writhing, butchered remains of the community, absorbing their darkness and savoring their misery. The creature manifested into a physical form, the very embodiment of the fear and darkness Otto had cultivated. After a silent, chilling moment of eye contact with Otto, the Druanee retreated into the shadows, leaving him alone to witness the complete destruction of his creation."
