5 months ago I went through Dissidia 012 for the 1st time and that game ended up being very good.
Now going through the NT sequel and it only leaves me with disappointment at how much this game has changed from what the prequel was.

Apparently, they wanted to focus this game on Online/tournament play but it didn't work out for them and I can see why. The combat itself is a downgrade of how 012 played, and having it 3v3 makes this combat bad, especially with these big area maps.
Even Team Ninja worked on this and didn't get the combat right with this style.

My focus is only on the main story and even this was locked behind a boring unnecessary grind to get it fully unlocked.
The story itself is unfinished, cutscenes are all over the place with no connection whatsoever, and canceled projects that were supposed to finish this game as a whole.
This is an unfinished game and it followed Trent with FF15 afterwards.
They wrote the main story half-assed while they focused on DLCs before the game even came out.

The graphics are amazing, and all the old voice actors are in it as well. Square really could have had a gem with this one if they just followed what Dissidia 012 has become to this day.

No Ex Bursts
No open-worldish where you can walk in
No equipment with stats or gear load out
No Super Boss like Feral Chaos
No RPG elements
No Gilgamesh
And whatever there was.
