Lower Trapezius

-- STARTING POSITION --
► Against Gravity - Prone with head rotated away from testing side and shoulder abducted to approximately 130°
► Gravity Minimized - Prone with arm at side. The therapist supports the weight of the arm and shoulder for the patient.

-- PALPATION --
Palpation - Medial and inferior angle of scapula

--MOVEMENT AND RESISTANCE LOCATION/DIRECTION --
► Movement - Elevate arm towards ceiling
► Resistance Location/Direction - Apply resistance at scapula in the direction of scapular elevation and abduction
