Описание к видео EPIC 1993 ATLAS Ciclotrafic Traction Elevators - GTC Building - GO, BR

Wow. Just wow. These are by far the most epic Classe As I have ever found. While finding one is by itself cool, these were amazing. I first came in this building some 2 years ago, and since knew they had some tall Classe As, only because of the indicators. This time, I came here to film, and was shocked by how unique they were. This building was obviously renovated (mostly the Lobby) with LED lights and modern decorations, but the elevators are all 90% original. It is a very beautiful high-end building, and the owners sure care and have the money to spend on it.
As for the elevators, the contractors went full on with them. From everything, you can see that these are the most sophisticated versions of the ClA, you don't see most of the features on the regular ones. Most Classe As look like they do, but these are exceptional - touch sensitive buttons (which for Americans would be what you'd have if Westinghouse kept engaged with capacitive buttons), a never before seen dot matrix indicator, largest passenger cabs for their time and even for today, the flushed COP, the vents and the No Smoking sign above the indicator, and a rare "ALARME" button, usually it's the bell icon or just "AL". Also, these things serve 22 stops! How more epic could they get?
Performance is great. Still holding up well after nearly 30 years, but still have the "Villarisms", which is their form of "Westinghousism": Door closes and opens again if the call buttons is pressed, issues with call directions, rude door closings, chimes when the door closes, only one call station per floor, and one trick I've never knew even existed before: If you press the Door Open button while on travel, it stops at the nearest floor. At least on these ones. Not exactly a safety break, but someone at Villares must have thought it would be useful as a feature. The stop isn't as strong as a break, but it is strong and scary, maybe harmful for the system as a whole, just think of the impact on the machine and door mechanisms. Anyway, nice to know!
Schindler is doing a nice job (as in a place like this they have to keep them good for them and for the owners), aside from the minimal shaft noises, there is nothing bad about them. Cabs are in mint condition, and that elevator I rode was the service car, fixtures are pristine, ride is decent for a Classe A with all of it's bumps, and the only thing missing here are the COP arrows but by now CAs with working arrows are an exception. The only modifications here are the media TVs and the back portion of the ceiling which has been retrofitted with 3 LED lights. Only thing missing, is an epic motor.
In conclusion: amazing find. Hope that they keep doing great for years to come. If they get modded soon, it's for the looks.
