This Holiday Season, Cal Shakes with the help of our friends, will be celebrating this historic season with some throwback recipes for the family. You'll never come empty handed to an Elizabethan-Style Potluck ever again!

INGREDIENTS
1 (750-ml.) bottle red wine
1 orange, sliced into rounds, plus more for garnish
6 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish
3 cardamom pods (or 3 star anise)
1/4 cup honey (or brown sugar)
1/2 cup brandy

DIRECTIONS
1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Bring to a simmer not a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer gently over low heat for at least 10 minutes.
2. Serve warm and garnish with more citrus slices and cinnamon sticks if desired
