How to create striped lettering in Embrilliance Enthusiast

The design starts as a simple lettering object created with a built in font from Embrilliance Essentials. Each program has its own list of features and functions - Essentials comes with 12 build in object based fonts. Next we use the selection tools to do our design customization. The freehand select tool allows us to "lasso" the dot on the "i" so it can be easily deleted. The rectangular selection tool allows us to create a straight edge selection so we can turn our simple "Holiday" into a candy cane striped design.

The stitch editing features also allow us to set the long stitches as jumps with locking ties at either end to prevent unraveling.
