The Welland Swing Bridge is one of the most popular spots in the Niagara Region to scuba dive. It's in 30' of water in the Old Welland Canal Recreational Waterway, South of Lincoln St.. There are beautiful dock pilings that make for a great photography opportunity as the visibility is often 30-40' clarity or better, while there is a lot of objects that the locals have donated to the canal as well with dozens of shopping carts, bicycles, street signs, boats and more.

This is a great shore dive for new open water divers to gain experience and refine skills like trim, buoyancy, fin kicks and more.

The Swing Bridge is a stellar night dive spot as well.

The Welland Swing Bridge was Bridge 15 on the Canal and a is a two-track Baltimore Swing Bridge. The bridge formerly carried the main line of the Canada Southern Railway over the canal.
