Citrinitas: The Balance of Solar Light
In the alchemical journey, Citrinitas (the yellowing or fire) marks the transition towards enlightenment—the dawning of the solar light and the emergence of lunar illumination. It represents a state of balance within one’s being, much like the interplay of day and night or the balance between noon and twilight. Citrinitas follows the darker stages of Nigredo (blackness, chaos) and Albedo (whiteness), where the alchemist has already confronted the shadow and purified the mind and body. It signifies the illumination of the soul, where the reflective lunar light is balanced by the radiant, divine solar light—yellow, like the midday sun.
