Make sure to save this recipe, because this will be the best burek you have ever tried. It isn’t prepared with phyllo dough, and I’ll be using ready-made phyllo, but you won’t notice any difference at all.
I decided to share a quick recipe with minced meat filling. However, you can prepare it with cottage cheese and eggs, spinach and cheese, sauerkraut, leeks, or pizza filling.
This recipe is great for a weekend breakfast with the whole family. Preparation takes about 20 minutes, and everyone will definitely enjoy the taste.

Ingredients:
500 g phyllo dough
200 ml sparkling water
100 ml cooking oil
1 packet baking powder
500 g minced meat
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon dehydrated food seasoning
2 tablespoons cooking oil
salt and ground black pepper to taste

First, prepare the pan for baking the burek. Use a round pan no. 32 and coat it with cooking oil.
Add the mineral water, cooking oil, and baking powder to a bowl and mix well.
Sauté the onion in some oil. Add the minced meat and fry for 2-3 minutes at medium heat. Add the dehydrated food seasoning, salt, and ground black pepper to taste. Let it fry for about 10 minutes until the meat is completely cooked.
Take two sheets of phyllo and place them in the baking pan so that the ends hang out of the pan.
Sprinkle with a mixture of mineral water and oil. Take three or four sheets, fold them and place in the middle of the pan. Sprinkle with the mixture and add a layer of the minced meat filling. Again, fold three or four sheets, place them in the middle and sprinkle with the mixture. Add some of the minced meat filling and repeat until you have two sheets of phyllo left.
Cover the whole pan with the last two sheets of phyllo, leaving the ends to hang out of the pan.
Fold the bottom and top sheets inwards and sprinkle with the remaining mixture of water and oil.
Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for about 30-40 minutes, or until it gets a nice golden brown color.
Allow the burek to cool a little, then cut into pieces and serve with a cup of yogurt.
