Paan Laddu is an Indian sweet made with coconut and betel leaves with a sweet gulkand stuffing. It’s an extremely easy recipe to make and will be one of the best sweets you try this festive season. Diwali is my most favorite festival. The best thing about Diwali is how the entire family comes together to celebrate it. Servings: 6-8 Paan Laddus

Ingredients:
3 Betel leaves
1 cup Desiccated Coconut
Mixed nuts (chopped Cashews & Almonds)
¼ cup Condensed milk
4 tbsp Gulkand
Green food coloring
1/8 tsp Cardamom powder
¼ tsp Fennel seeds
1 tbsp Milk

Directions:
• Begin by cutting the ends of the betel leaves.
• In a blender, add 3 betel leaves ripped into small pieces, ¼ cup condensed milk and blend to make a fine paste.
• Using a non-stick pan dry roast 1 cup desiccated coconut on medium flame for 2 mins.
• Now add in the blended betel leaf-condensed milk mixture and mix well on low flame.
• Add 3 drops of green food coloring, 1 tbsp milk and mix well on low flame.
• Transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix well using your hand.
• In a separate bowl, add 4 tbsp gulkand, mixed nuts, ¼ tsp fennel seeds, 1/8 tsp cardamom powder and mix well. Set aside.
• Grease your hands with some ghee. Make a small ball with the coconut mixture. Flatten it. Add the gulkand-nuts mix as a stuffing and bring the ends together to form a laddu.
• At last, roll the laddu in dry desiccated coconut.
• Top it off with some cranberries or any nuts of your choice before serving.
