“Let it Rain” is a special song for these times. The message is about hope and longing…
The song is a prayer that asks for the floodgates of heaven to pour out the “rains”, metaphorical language for something greater than physical rains.

I released a cello and piano version of Michael Farren's song “Let it Rain” on my prayer music album Music in the Quiet Room in March 2020, the same exact month that the world shut down. During the coming months, I felt a real quickening inside, that the times have drastically changed and our world needs a deeper source of hope. This new version of “Let it Rain” featuring the middle-eastern vocals of Shai Sol, has become a message of hope from Israel to our world. But hope in what? It’s a response to an ancient word (by the prophet Zachariah) speaking about a promise - the promise of the “latter rains”: the Spirit of God being poured out on Israel and the entire world and the coming of Mashiach Israel - the promised Messiah!

The clips starts in the mountains of the Galilee where I reside in northern Israel, and the prayer goes out to Jerusalem where I meet Shai, the voice of humanity. I wanted the visuals to amplify this ancient promise, that we would understand the times. I want to see music ignite greater faith and courage in these uncertain times.
