La stanza del Vescovo. Armando Trovajoli

Описание к видео La stanza del Vescovo. Armando Trovajoli

Young Marco Maffei (Patrick Dewaere), an avid skipper, has a chance encounter with the stylish philanderer and eccentric gentleman, Temistocle Mario Orimbelli (Ugo Tognazzi), who lives in a splendid villa. As one thing leads to another, Temistocle invites Marco over for dinner, where he meets his wealthy wife, Cleofe (Gabriella Giacobbe), and his morosely beautiful sister-in-law, widowed Matilde (Ornella Muti), with whom he falls madly in love.

Armando Trovajoli was an Italian film composer and pianist with over 300 credits as composer and/or conductor, many of them jazz scores for exploitation films of the Commedia all'italiana genre. For this film he wrote one of his most intense soundtracks. The romantic, sad and dramatic music and the recurrent use of a moog keyboard perfectly reflect the loneliness of the main characters, all physically close but at the same time so distant from one another. Maestro Trovajoli arranged the classic "Moonlight serenade" by Glenn Miller and also composed some lovely dance floor tunes.
