Why hello you lovely little peppercorns, my name's Noa Lee, God of game criticism, and Children of the Sun is the hot new sniping puzzle game all the kids talked about for about a week and have already forgotten because it fails to do more than provide an afternoon's worth of fun. Children of the Sun is a very enjoyable game with a unique puzzle mechanic, but it fails as a work of art due to a timidity on the part of the developer to fully explore the themes and topics that are central to the core of the game, which is a shame because with just a little more work and a lot more artistic bravery this game very well could've been something profound, something that shook the very foundations of video game artistry, and rivaled the greatness of its contemporaries like Superhot and Hotline Miami. However, Children of the Sun fails in this regard. The game is still fun, but that's all it is.
