Matúš Gomolčák graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Technical University, Košice, with the specialization in Architecture and Urbanization. Matúš already worked with several architects during his university years and after graduating, he became a member of the well-known architecture studio Atrium, with which he participated in numerous conferences and galleries. He co-organized the successful project Mestske a Medzimestske zasahy in 2011 and 2012. With his colleagues from Atrium and a non-profit organization at uzemneplany.sk, Matus is currently preparing the realization of the culturesport center Pod mostom. For the past few years, Matúš is shaping Kosice and its peripheries.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
