WTBS Commercial Breaks (June 30, 1984)

Taken from TBS' airing of Battle of the Bulge, part of its Sunday Night Movie series. TBS at the time was referred to as "Superstation WTBS," as it originated from a TV station in Atlanta with those call letters. Ted Turner and his media empire made the station available on cable and it turned into a major player in the cable TV business. Currently, the standalone TV station is called WPCH-TV, also known as "Peachtree TV."

Most of the commercials are either infomercials or CNN newsbreaks. John Young voices most of the TBS-related promos, as he was the station's main VO guy for most of the decade, and the graphics are rich of early-TVBD work (which was why I uploaded this, big TVBD fan here). The Belly Burner advert is voiced by Jim Morgan, a VO who did work at WTHR and WCMH notably.
