In this video, we are going to learn how to draw the original Mario while discussing character structures. I will be using Procreate on the iPad Pro, but you can follow along the character breakdown using your favorite drawing tools, even pencil and paper!
We'll talk about key tips for sketching, shading, and building an overall good digital art workflow. I'll also show you some Procreate tricks like using the reference option, blending modes, and more!

Working with a different software? Here are some tips for finding alternative brushes:
• Base Round Brush - The idea here is to find the most simple brush in your software. Something like a hard round brush would be perfect. No textures, no feathering on the edges.
• Sketching Brush - Anything with "pencil" in the name, or something with a bit of grit.
• Basic Texture Brush - Anything with "charcoal" in the name, or something with a lot of grit.
