With hubs we benchmark at the DT Swiss Range, and work from there looking at brands like Chris King, Bitex, Hope, and Royce. We show you the problems you might encounter.

We talk through spokes and why the Sapim CX-RAY is not always the best choice. We then show some different screws (cant mention the correct word)

When we get to rims we talk through how to whittle down your choice. Depth, hookless or hooked and then how to choose a rim width to work with the tyres you need to run and your weight.

We show you the key things to look out for in the overall build. how it should look and feel regarding spoke orientation, tension and ture.

Finally we discuss warranty claims and try to make some recommendations.
