so uh. I have synthv teto now.



Truth be told, I actually grabbed NYL right before all the SynthV 1 banks were delisted so I’ve been messing around with SynthV Studio for some time now. But I found out Teto 1 is still available on DLSite and I had a coupon that was going to expire today so. Yeah.

I am working on real songs with both banks, not just shitposts — we’ll see whether any of those get finished, even after the stuff I’ve done for the A2XT games I still barely know what I’m doing as a songwriter/producer compared to sprinkling vocal elements into otherwise-instrumental music — but I’ve had this silly idea sloshing around in my brainhole for a bit and needed to get it out of there.

Thankfully I managed to sort out the render setup problems I had with the Kood animation so I could just export this as an AVI from Godot and upload it directly to Youtube. Shout out to Inbound Shovel for that viewport short giving me the nudge I needed to keep messing with it! (Go check out their Game Dev Secret series out if you’re interested in learning game development, those shorts are solid intros/reminders for a lot of common development techniques I had to pick up gradually over the years myself.)

I did make a full acapella version of the loop and maybe I’ll animate the entire thing eventually, or maybe I’ll just release the files so someone else can do it if they want. idk. Either way, I plan to share more info and resources for this animation method after I develop the scripts for it a bit further; the next one I have planned will involve more movement so that might necessitate new features accordingly, and after that I want to do something that’ll require more elaborate character rigging than the face layers I set up for the Tetos here. Haven’t decided what to do for that, though.
