What Achievements Am I Most Proud Of
Reflecting on Achievements
When I think about achievements, they are typically defined as milestones we accomplish through our own hard work and effort. Looking back on my life, I realize I haven’t really achieved anything extraordinary that would stand out or be admired by others. Academically, I’ve barely done well, and from a practical perspective, I haven’t had any remarkable successes.
For example, I’m not a chess player who has won district or state-level tournaments. I’m not highly educated with an impressive degree or working at a prestigious company earning a significant salary. These conventional markers of achievement aren’t part of my life story, and at 31, I acknowledge that.
However, there is something unique I’ve done: I started recording something I call "artifact" in 2015. Artifact is essentially self-talk that I record every day. Over the past 6–7 years, this habit has become a vital part of my life. It might not seem like a conventional achievement, but for me, it has been transformative. Through artifact, I’ve found clarity, confidence, and the drive to keep pursuing my dreams.
The Dream of Becoming a Filmmaker
One of my biggest dreams is to become a filmmaker. Unfortunately, I lack the knowledge, financial resources, and career opportunities to make this dream a reality. Yet, artifact has kept this dream alive. Without it, I would have given up on this ambition long ago. Filmmaking is a challenging field, requiring dedication and years of experience, as seen with someone like Christopher Nolan. While I understand the immense difficulty of this goal, artifact has given me the hope and energy to keep trying.
Why Artifact Matters
Artifact isn’t about earning money or external recognition—it’s deeply personal. It allows me to document my thoughts and feelings, especially since I don’t have anyone else to share them with. Talking to myself through artifact helps me release pent-up emotions and feel rejuvenated. It’s an integral part of my mental well-being and a cornerstone of my personal growth.
YouTube as an Achievement
In addition to artifact, I’ve been working on my YouTube channel for the past four years. Although I currently have 1,184 subscribers and am not earning any money, I consider this an achievement. I’ve made many mistakes in choosing topics and niches, but I’ve learned a lot through trial and error. Starting out, I had no guidance or practical advice, yet I persevered. Convincing my family to let me pursue YouTube wasn’t easy, as I come from a background where such a career isn’t widely understood or respected. Despite the challenges, I’ve stuck with it, and I know that one day, my efforts will pay off.
Physical Health as an Achievement
Another achievement I’m proud of is my physical fitness. I can run nonstop for 30 minutes and have been consistently running for the past three years. Running has become a habit, and it greatly contributes to my overall well-being. While it might seem small, this consistency and dedication to my health are accomplishments I hold dear.
In Summary:
Achievements come in many forms. While I might not have the conventional markers of success, I take pride in my journey with artifact, my progress on YouTube, and my commitment to physical fitness. These achievements, though unconventional, have shaped me into who I am today and continue to motivate me to strive for more.
Artifact Episodes, a personal and reflective process undertaken by me. These episodes involve asking myself questions, recording the answers, and exploring my thoughts and feelings. I emphasize that this practice is for personal growth and self-awareness rather than for public sharing, comparing it to a diary. I have been engaging in this process since 2015, keeping it private to maintain authenticity and confidence in recording. The text also acknowledges the imperfection of my thoughts and information, recognizing that mistakes are a part of being human. The goal is to replicate the positive feelings experienced through this process on a YouTube channel, encouraging others to engage in similar introspection.
