Volhard aptitude test should be done at place puppy never been before and tested by a person puppy never met before. We like to use local small post office and do it late in the evening when there is no visitors.
There is several more reasons - to get there, puppies get their first short car ride, we usually do it in the dark so i can video from outside. The place have tile, which is totally new surface for puppies and its cold too lol and also there is echo inside, which new to them and windows that act like huge mirrors. All those new things provides great distraction and new experiences and together with the test, we evaluate their first response to all those new strange things.
